About the Author

Jess Kroll is a multi-genre writer born in Honolulu, Hawai'i. He has a Bachelor in English degree with a Creative Writing concentration from the University of Hawai'i - Manoa and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing degree from the University of San Francisco. His short fiction and poetry have appeared in numerous publications for over ten years both online and in print. As a stage poet he has performed in over a dozen cities across the United States, internationally in Seoul, South Korea, and Paris, France, and twice at the National Poetry Slam (2006 and 2010). His journalism and essays have appeared in Honolulu Weekly, News Drop and the travel publication Pology Magazine. Presently he is a film reviewer and columnist for Pop Mythology and his debut novel Land of Smiles is available as a digital download from Monsoon Books.
